Kayla + David's Flagstaff Fairytale
KAYLA + DAVID

Deep breaths, nervous glances, anxious chatter; this is the bride’s “getting ready room” - which is actually a gorgeous cabin in the woods. Surrounded by loved ones, including Mom, Kayla is preparing for one of the biggest and most exciting days of her life. Everything has to be perfect. The forecast called for rain in the afternoon during the ceremony causing nerves and concerns to skyrocket. Kayla’s family and friends did everything they could to keep her calm.
Like a wave washing away the sand on the beach, all of the tension was washed away when Kayla and David locked eyes for their “first look”. It was like they were the only two people in the world. Between tears of joy and sniffles of excitement, they repeated the words “I love you” so many times, as if they had never been able to say it before.
David couldn’t help but walk a full circle around his soon-to-be wife and take in all of her beauty. I mean, can you really blame him?
Ceremony time.
Nestled between the tall forest trees, log benches waited for their guests. In front of them, a wooden arch covered in flowers stood tall. This ceremony spot was an absolute dream.
During their vows, I definitely shed a tear or two. Kayla and David played rock-paper-scissors at the alter to decide who would read first. Kayla’s scissors were crushed with a rock, so she started. She gave every promise and swore to love him forever, then finished with speaking to him in Spanish. David returned every promise, and swore she was the most amazing person he had ever met. They both mentioned Kayla’s beloved grandma, who was with them in their hearts.
The way these two looked at each other, the way they laughed together, and the way they loved was a dream. Capturing their special day was truly an honor, and I’m so grateful to have been part of their lives.
Reception
Kayla and David have a bright future ahead. I know their love will only grow from here.
